Peasant Dance by Johann Martin Gogel

"In the "Stammbuch" (kind of student's album) of Johann Michael Weckherlin (17 th century) there is a coloured version of it, in reverse (Stuttgart, WŸrttembergische Landesbibliothek). The dancers and the piper however are copied from Hans Holbein, from a fresco on a house in Basel, Switzerland, the house being called "House to the peasant dance"
