I know next to nothing about this side of my family.

My grandmother Mary with my great grandmother Alma just after the war
Alma was known by all as Mamé, I think it's French for Grandmother.

My great-aunt Anna donated this picture of Alma to the St. Albans Historical Society
Museum along with the last quilt she was working on before she died and a
quilting rack made by my great-great grandfather Alfred Garceau in 1917
These are currently on display in the "Domestic Room"

I must have been a month old here in 1974 when my grandfather, smiling proudly, placed me
in his mother's arms as I screamed as though I were being eviscerated. My poor parents, I
was colicky for 6 months. I guess after having that many kids, Mamé thought nothing
of a screaming bundle of joy.
