Siding

The original shingle siding on this house was a dark brown. Sometime in the 20s or 30s it was stained grey. Then in the 60s it was sided with aluminum siding. It's durable, I'll give it that but it isn't really nice to look at. We've been so concerned with the interior of the house that we haven't had a lot of time for the exterior. That doesn't mean we don't think of it often. We've decided to tackle it a little bit at a time.

Durable yet ugly aluminum siding

Removing the aluminum siding was a big job, but not as big as patching
the holes that were drilled through the original shingles in order to
insulate the house.

With new shingles bought from our local Sticks -n- Stuff store I proceeded
to remove the damaged shingles and install new ones. Took quite a while to
devise a good way of doing this. Even made a video that's on YouTube somewhere.

I guess we're just going to move around the house this way!
